A Mexican judge sentenced Cesar Armando Librado Legorreta to 240 years in jail for killing six women in the central state of Mexico.
Legorreta was sentenced to 40 years for each victim, an official at the state Attorney General’s Office told Efe.
The source said that, in response to a lawsuit filed by the victims’ families, Legorreta was also fined 254,758 pesos ($20,012) and must pay an additional 567,090 pesos ($44,547) in compensation.
Legorreta, 29, was recaptured on March 3 following his escape in late February, just hours after a previous arrest. He apparently succeeded in shedding his handcuffs and slipping out of the police station where he was in the custody of three police officers.
He committed his crimes by winning the trust of his victims while working as a city bus driver.
All were young women that he raped and then killed out of fear they would report him, he confessed after being recaptured.
Only one of the victims survived the rape, but only because the criminal went away thinking she was dead.
Legorreta still has trials pending for a homicide in Mexico City and for the rape of the young woman who survived.

TOLUCA, Mex., March 5. – Cesar Armando Librado Legorreta, The Cozy, who received medical attention after his capture, is at risk of being disabled by the severity of their injuries sustained after falling from a window when he escaped from the justice.
Alfredo Castillo Cervantes, Attorney General of the State of Mexico, said the “health of the alleged femicide is delicate without being life threatening, in his escaped he fell and sustained multi-fractures in his right foot and compound fractures in the vertebrae lumbar. “
The Cozy, is charged with eight crimes, rape of seven women who were violated the State of Mexico, and one case in Mexico City, he has been immobilized from the time of his escape after falling from the third floor of the Deputy offices where he escaped, and dragged his body more than 200 meters to a street where a man who gave him assistance and carried him home on the grounds that he had been kidnapped.
The medical diagnosis so far is that “certified forensic pathologists in performing CT scans suggested that he requires surgical intervention, but there is a risk that could be Legorreta Librado paralyzed legs.”

The accused woman serial rapist was sent to prison at Barrientos, but must be transferred in the next few days to a hospital for surgery; however, the diagnosis of disability due to the severity of injuries is almost impossible to reverse.

MEXICO CITY – A man arrested in late February for the murders of seven women and who later escaped from a jail in Mexico state, which surrounds the Federal District and forms part of the Mexico City metropolitan area, has been captured, officials said.
Cesar Armando Librado Legorreta was arrested by authorities on Saturday, Mexico state Gov. Eruviel Avila said in a Twitter posting.
“The Mexico state Attorney General’s Office has just arrested Cesar Armando Librado, alias ‘El Coqueto,’” the governor said.
Librado Legorreta, however, may have been arrested in one of the operations staged by police Saturday in Cuautitlan Izcalli and the Federal District, the Formato 21 radio station reported.
More than 200 police officers participated in the operations, which took place after authorities received tips about the possible hiding place of Librado Legorreta, who is wanted for the rapes and murders of seven women, as well as the rape of an eighth woman.
The 29-year-old Librado Legorreta used his job as a bus driver to target victims.
The suspect “acted very friendly (with his victims) and offered to take them to their destination even if it was outside his route, raping and later killing them on the microbus once he had them alone,” the Federal District Attorney’s Office said in a statement released last week.
Librado Legorreta strangled his victims using a wrestling hold, prosecutors said.
Librado Legorreta told investigators that his victims were all young women who were sexually assaulted before being killed.
One young woman survived her encounter with Librado Legorreta, officials said.
Librado Legorreta was arrested late last month and taken to a jail, from which he escaped on the night of Feb. 26-27.
He got away prior to his appearance before the judge in Tlanepantla, Mexico state, who is investigating the murders.
Librado Legorreta apparently removed his handcuffs and slipped out of the police station office where he was being guarded by three officers.
Last week, the mother of one of the victims called for the removal from office of Mexico state Attorney General Alfredo Castillo because of his officers’ negligence in letting the murderer get away.
One of the officers guarding the suspect, Luis Alberto Cañedo Chaparro, was arrested, but the other two officers are now fugitives.

“I hope that local and federal courts will allow us to be the first to punish a criminal with a life sentence in the State of Mexico is the least we can ask for this criminal,” said Avila.

Later he confessed that he escaped PGJEM facilities in Tlalnepantla, by jumping out a window of the office where he was sheltered.
He was injured when he fell, but managed to reach the homes of his relatives and had the support of several people who he told that he was fleeing a kidnapping.
Castillo said the alleged femicide, at the time of his capture, was shaved and had injuries to his right foot and lumbar spine, all he said, was the injuries were caused by the fall in his escape.
The Cosy was taken to hospital Doctor Nicholas St. John, in Toluca.
Librado Legorreta will undergo medical evaluation to determine if you are able to be admitted to the Prison or be available to the judge in the same hospital.

Through deceit, the serial murderer earned their trust and cheating to deflect the path of the minibus and sexually abusing them.
